Safari Tour South Africa Overview

Below is a sample of what we call the South Africa Discovery Tour. Prices will vary by when you go, hotel category selected and how many people are in your group.

Day 1 Depart USA
Depart the USA on your overnight flight to South Africa.

Day 2 Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town this evening. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your choice of hotel. The evening is at leisure.

Day 3 Cape Town
Enjoy a scenic drive to Camps Bay and a stop at Hout Bay, where you may opt to visit Seal Island. Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the Cape of Good Hope. After lunch, visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 4 Cape Town
Today's journey takes you to the southwestern Cape and to Paarl, in the winelands. Visit a family-run wine farm and sample some of the local wines. Stop in Stellenbosch for included lunch and a brief tour of this village before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 Cape Town
Day 6 Cape Town-Kruger Nat'l Park
Fly to Johannesburg early this morning and connect to the flight to Skukuza in Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to your lodge. This afternoon, enjoy a game viewing activity.

Day 7 Kruger National Park
A full day in the park affords time for both morning and afternoon game viewing activities.

Day 8 Kruger-Johannesburg
After an early morning game activity, return to the airstrip for the flight to Johannesburg. You will be met and transferred to your hotel in nearby Sandton, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 9 Johannesburg-Victoria Falls
Fly to Victoria Falls this morning, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Later this afternoon, transfer to the our jetty for a ”sundowner’ cruise along the Zambezi.

Day 10 Victoria Falls
This morning, why not opt for the 15 minute ”Flight of Angels’ before taking a guided walk to the rain forest along the rim of the gorge opposite the Main Falls. Later, visit an African Craft Village, where you can see the artisans at work. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 11 Victoria Falls - Depart 
The morning is at leisure before your transfer to the airport to board the flight to Johannesburg, where you connect to the overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 12 Arrive USA
Arrive in the USA early this morning, and connect to your homeward-bound flight.

Land only prices do not include airfare Cape Town-Johannesburg-Victoria Falls-Johannesburg, but do include airfare Johannesburg-Skukuza-Johannesburg.

Rates are based on (V) hotels. Call for price upgrade for First Class (F) and Premier (P) hotels.
