This is an excellent 14 night tour of South Africa. You will visit all of the major highlights South Africa has to offer. Of course we can customize this tour to meet your needs by adjusting the itinerary, adding dates, deleting stops to best suit your needs and desires.

 Day 1 Sat Depart USA
 Depart the USA on your overnight flight to South Africa.
 
 Day 2 Sun Arrive Johannesburg
 Arrive in Johannesburg today. After clearing customs and immigration, transfer to your hotel situated in the upmarket suburb of Sandton. This evening join your Tour Director and fellow tour members for a welcome drink followed by dinner.

 Day 3 Mon Johannesburg ­ Dullstroom
 Drive to Soweto for a tour through the city with its bustling business area and suburbs with homes ranging from shacks to mansions. Drive past the Hector Peterson Memorial and President Mandela's home. Continue to the administrative capital of South Africa for visits to the Union Buildings and the Voortrekker Monument. In the afternoon, travel via Witbank and Middelburg to Dullstroom for dinner and overnight.

 Day 4 Tue Dullstroom ­ Kruger National Park
 Travel along the Mpumalanga Panorama Route visiting places of scenic beauty such as the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, God's Window and the restored mining village of Pilgrim's Rest. Late afternoon arrival at the lodge situated just outside the main gate of Kruger National Park. Dinner at the lodge.

 Day 5 Wed Kruger National Park
 Depart early with a picnic breakfast for a full day of game viewing from open 4X4 safari vehicles. The Kruger National Park supports great numbers and varieties of amphibians, reptiles, birds and 147 mammal species including the Big 5. Late afternoon return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 6 Thu Kruger National Park ­ Swaziland
 Depart after breakfast for a final morning of game viewing while traveling south through the park. Almost immediately after exiting the park, enter the Kingdom of Swaziland and travel via Piggs Peak and the capital, Mbabane, to the Ezulwini Valley for dinner and overnight.

 Day 7 Fri Swaziland ­ Eshowe
 Visit a local market before continuing the journey south through Manzini and Big Bend to the border. Cross back into South Africa ­ northern Zululand ­ and travel through sugar cane and pineapple plantations via Hluhluwe to Eshowe and your hotel which is built in the style of a Zulu village. After checking in, enjoy a cultural
 experience followed by dinner.

 Day 8 Sat Eshowe ­ Durban
 Travel along the Kwazulu-Natal north coast to Durban for a tour of the city ending at the hotel situated across the road from the beach. The afternoon is at leisure.

 Day 9 Sun Durban ­ Port Elizabeth ­ Knysna
 Transfer to the airport for the early morning flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival, there is a short tour of the city before beginning the journey along the Garden Route. Travel to the Tsitsikamma National Park for a visit to the Big Tree and the Storms River Mouth. Continue to Keurbooms for lunch and then via Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. Remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the village centre with its many art & craft shops.

 Day 10 Mon Knysna
 Transfer to the jetty for the ferry across the lagoon to the Featherbed Nature Reserve for the trailer ride to the top of the Western Head. Either walk back down with the guide or return by trailer to the tavern for a fish BBQ lunch. Return to Knysna by ferry and transfer to the station to board the Outeniqua Choo-tjoe steam
 train to Wilderness. Return to Knysna late this afternoon.

 Day 11 Tue Knysna ­ Oudtshoorn ­ Witsand
 Travel via George and the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Visit the Cango Caves followed by a tour of an ostrich farm. Continue via the Robinson Pass to Mossel Bay for a visit to the museum and then on via Riversdale to the seaside resort of Witsand for dinner and overnight. 
 Breede River Lodge (BD)
 
 Day 12 Wed Witsand ­ Cape Town
 Depart after breakfast and travel via Swellendam and the apple orchards of Elgin to the university town of Stellenbosch. After lunch, visit a local estate for a cellar tour and wine tasting before completing the last sector of the journey to Cape Town. Late afternoon arrival at the hotel situated near the V&A Waterfront.

 Day 13 Thu Cape Town
 Drive through the Atlantic seaboard suburbs of Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay and via Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point. After a trip to the vantage point, continue to Simonstown for lunch and a visit to the penguin colony. Return to the city via Muizenberg and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

 Day 14 Fri Cape Town
 Enjoy a full day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Leinster Hall.

 The morning is at leisure. Later, transfer to the airport for the overnight flight to the USA.
